Unfortunately the series of games Onimusha is in a very complicated situation now but as fans that want new remasters and new games we can do our part. In the same way Will Onimusha 2 be remastered? Capcom planned to released remasters of Onimusha 2 and Onimusha 3 as well but they were canceled due to the low sales of the remaster of Onimusha Warlords. It is one of the first 3D action games and an inseparable part of gaming history, I highly recommend you pick it up. The game looks and plays as good as ever and the occasional puzzle notwithstanding, the game has aged like fine wine. Settling itself somewhere between both Resident Evil and Devil May Cry, Onimusha is a survival horror game of fixed camera angles and terrifying monsters, but gives the player enormous agency by providing a surprisingly responsive action-combat system. The enemy patterns aren’t exactly difficult to figure out and your weapons are powerful and varied.
Despite the fact it takes a lot of influences from older Resident Evil games, health bonuses and pickups appear regularly. Onimusha isn’t a very difficult game, even in its harder difficulty settings.
